New iPad Keyboard Cover

Let's face it, since their inception, iPads have been designed to be more of a consumption device rather than an input device. Yes they are great for many tasks, but sometimes a physical keyboard would just makes things so much easier. With help from this new Logitech device, those of us who own the iPad2 or iPad3 can change all that.

Later this month Logitech plans on releasing their latest gadget for the iPad. This Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is made of lightweight aluminum, offers long battery life and attaches to your iPad using magnetic clips. It offers a full QWERTY Bluetooth keyboard and can automatically turn your iPad on and off when you open and close the cover. The unit has a MSRP of $99 and Logitech is taking preorders right now at their website.

Although iPad keyboards are nothing new, this one of the first on the market for the iPad3 and is one of the slimmest and lightest I have seen. At $99 it will not break the bank but it raises the question, why not just use a laptop? Let me know what you think.
